The 2018 Olympic Peninsula Salmon Derby has concluded in record-breaking style! 857 tickets were sold, and for the first time in derby history, there was TIE for first place! Micah Hanley of Mt. Vernon received the $10,000 first prize for his 16.85lb fish caught Saturday morning, while Kyle Madison from Port Angeles took second place and $2,000 for his 16.85lb fish caught Sunday morning. Larry Phillips from Olympia took the $1,000 third prize for his 16.40lb catch. Thanks to all who participated, including sponsors, volunteers, and anglers.
