Each year so far, the Northwest Marine Trade Association has given away a fantastic prize boat. All of our derby participants are entered in the NMTA drawing. Please note that all aspects of the boat giveaway are under the control of the NMTA. We simply submit your name and contact information, and hope that one of our anglers wins the boat! Please contact NMTA for details.
The 2016 boat is a beauty:
- This year’s grand prize is a fully-loaded Hewescraft 220 OceanPro valued at $85,000! Powered by a Mercury 225 Verado and a 9.9 ProKicker on an EZ-Loader Tandem axle galvanized trailer, it’s fully rigged with Scotty downriggers, Lowrance electronics and a Dual Electronics Stereo.
Okay, salmon Derby Series fans…….meet the new grand prize boat for 2016. One lucky angler will win this $85,000 boat at the Everett Coho Derby in late September. However, as we discussed in our annual NW Salmon Derby Series meeting a few months ago at Elliott Bay Marina, I will keep the boat and provide it for display at the Einar Nielson-Becky Barr Salmon Derby at Roche Harbor in later September, the Bayside Marine Salmon Derby in early November and finally at the Resurrection Salmon Derby in Friday Harbor the first weekend in December. Then, the winner can claim the grand prize boat.
I am extremely pleased how this boat package came together. It is a 22-foot Hewescraft OceanPro, powered with a 225 Mercury Verado. It is a rocket ship! Add in a 9.9 ProKicker. The boat sits on a galvanized tandem axle EZ-Loader trailer. Lowrance electronics equipped and stereo. It is awesome. And, finally, Scotty downriggers donated their new high-tech electric downriggers. Dude, this boat is ready to rock! It is a killer package and some are saying it’s the best package yet.
The boat was on display at the Seattle Boat Show…. Looking forward to another great NW Salmon Derby Series now entering our eighth year. Welcome aboard and buckle up!
